The Women’s Ministry Team is a group of women who gather to fellowship, mentor, and connect the women of our church while uplifting and encouraging one another in faith and love.
WOM
Who We Are
We are an arm of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) established in 1888 for the purpose of praying for and sharing information about missionaries. Women on Mission (WOM) challenges Christian believers to understand and be radically involved in the mission of God.
Our Objectives
Our objectives are to pray for missions, engage in mission action and witnessing, learn about missions, support missions, develop spiritually toward a mission lifestyle, and participate in the work of the church and denomination.
Annual Projects
We have annual projects such as the Annie Armstrong, Lottie Moon, and Georgia Barnette offerings, as well as an annual Food Drive for the Baptist Children’s Home in Monroe. We also promote Samaritan’s Operation Christmas Child and several other church-related activities—like The Widows and Widowers Luncheon.
